Last night’s Grammys was a magical night in music. We celebrated artists from around the world, and honored the greats that are no longer with us. Not to mention got our annual fill of LL Cool J. But beyond the music, another trend was born last night, and that was the formal pant. While some of the more traditional beauties (insert Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood) certainly stunned, the menswear trend was a nice new twist to the fashions of last night. Beyoncé, Janelle Monáe and Kaley Cuoco  each found a way to make the new lady formal feel glamorous. Perhaps they were Justin’s new single, Suit and Tie? Either way, they all rocked it.

On February 10, Target is set to release their newest collab – Prabal Gurung for Target. While we’re anxiously anticipating NYFW, we know we need to get our paws on some of this runway style at a fraction of the price! Everything in his target collaboration will be under – I repeat UNDER – $50. That means that whether you’re hitting the tents or sprucing up for your hot v-day date, it’s definitely a collab that is worth checking out.

Mark your calendars ladies, these delicious treats won’t be on the shelves for long.

Club Monaco…where do we begin? It would be pretty difficult for Ralph Lauren’s offspring (no we’re not talking about Dylan’s Candy Shop) to be anything short of a sophisticated and sexy with a California edge. Whether we’re stocking our suitcases with Coachella-esque crochet or bundling up in like-butter cashmere, Club Monaco has us covered. The windows sets make it nearly impossible to walk by without saying hello–and the browsing experience is ever so pleasant.

CheekyChicago is an online lifestyle magazine about everything happening in The Windy (and currently freezing) City. We are so excited to introduce you to the Cheeky co-founder, Erica, who fills us in on where to date, dine, and shop in the Midwest’s big city! Oh, and her guilty pleasures are most likely very similar to yours….

Where are you from originally? West Palm Beach, Florida.

How did you end up in Chicago? I went to Northwestern University in Evanston, moved to the “big city” after graduation and never left!

What is the story behind Cheeky’s birth? CheekyChicago was created because there was a void in the marketplace for a city-centric, female-focused guide to the City. My business partner and I became very fast friends and bonded over going out, trying new restaurants, and experiencing the city of Chicago. We would hit the Internet to try to help us decide where to go and what to do. We found that there was nothing that really spoke to us as young, cosmopolitan women, so we decided to create it!

How did you come up with the name? I’m the biggest grammar nerd and absolutely love alliteration. I thought the word “Chicago” should be in the title since we’re so city-centric, and Cheeky just blurted out of my mouth right next to it.

• Mani / Pedi: It’s not the fanciest, but it’s my absolute favorite: Elegant Nails on Clark and North
• Dinner Date Spot: There are frankly too many to list, but I’d say Riccardo Trattoria is one of my favorites

• Activity during the summer: Absolutely any sport on the lakefront, even just a walk, the Chicago Architecture Tour and Cubs games!

What was the last item of clothing you purchased?: A turquoise backless sweater (ya gotta do something to sexify the sweater – we’ve got a whole long winter in front of us)!

What song are you listening to on repeat right now? Bette Midler’s “Cool Yule.” Not kidding. Don’t laugh.

What is your ultimate guilty pleasure? The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad.

What is your 4pm desk snack? Deep dark hot chocolate!
